Every evening the grandpas of the yard gather on the bench with a chessboard. Each one thinks he is the best player in the neighborhood. Prove them wrong!
Chess Puzzles: Beat Grandpa is a cozy chess tactics game. Every opponent sets you a series of puzzles: mate in one, mate in two, forks, pins, skewers and hanging pieces. Find the right move and the grandpa grumbles. Make a mistake and he will tell you exactly what he thinks about it.
The ladder of the yard
• Grandpa Mike, the yard keeper, who has swept the yard for fifty years
• Granny Zina, who knits socks and remembers every game since 1968
• Captain Nick, a retired sailor who plays like a storm
• Leo the Painter, who believes every combination is a work of art
• The Professor, a retired math teacher who counts every line
• The Maestro from the next yard, who has not lost in twenty years
Solve 12 puzzles to beat a grandpa, and the next one sits down at the board.
